Service Hours 9am - 12pm, Picnic @ 12pm

Service opportunities for all ages. Painting exterior buildings, gardening, and removing small trees. No tools required. Bring gardening gloves if you have them. After the service project we
will have a picnic and you may also tour the pioneer farm.

What is Pioneer Farms?
Pioneer Farms is a property of the Heritage Society of Austin,
a tax-exempt, non-profit Texas corporation. At Pioneer Farms,
you’ll find five themed historic areas to explore: an 1840s
Tonkawa Encampment, an 1860s German Immigrant Farm,
an 1870s Texian Farm, an 1880s Cotton Planters Farm and an
1890s Sprinkle Corner rural village.

In each area you can see and smell Texas history first-hand.
Explore ninety beautiful, wooded acres, and discover exciting, memorable ways to experience Texas past with your family. Don’t miss the Scarborough Barn where you can get up close with your favorite farm animal friends!
