The technical definition is fitness dance, but Seriously. it's the most fun you can have while exercising!

You have no coordination? No worries you can do this. Seriously as long as your sweating and having fun your doing it right. We do the same routine for a little while so that people can get it used to it before moving onto new songs.

Just a little friendly reminder that tomorrow night,
August 26th,
is the
Relief Society Meeting

Stake Center.

There are a few other points of interest:

#1 If you signed up to bring a salad could you also bring bring a handy-dandy utensil for serving. Otherwise some of us, and I won't name names, will start using our fingers.

#2 If you would be willing to share please bring the recipe. Sisters can then copy the recipes for the salads that they would like to recreate at home.

#3 It is going to be an awesome, social occasion. There will be laughter, there will be fun, there will be 36 salads to try and taste.

Regal Cinemas Free Family Film Festival

At our Relief Society Meeting last Thursday, the RS passed out ideas of things to do this summer. One of the things that I was going to send in, but didn't was the Regal Cinemas Free Family Film Festival. It starts next week and runs until August 5th.

Here are the details:

The closest Regal Cinema to us doing this promotion is the one at Lakeline Mall.

"Selected G or PG movies start at 10:00am every Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served and are limited to theatre capacity.

The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer. Tickets for our 2010 Free Family Film Festival are exclusively available at select theatres’ box office on the day of the show."

They do serve concessions but I have seen many families bring in their own snacks. However, I wouldn't walk in with a cooler or anything. :)

Here is the schedule for this summer at Lakeline Regal Cinemas!

06/22/2010-06/23/2010
Pirates Who Don't Do Anything (G) (This is a veggie tales movie.)

Planet 51 (PG)

08/03/2010-08/04/2010

Running Group!?!

I am putting out the "feelers" to see if there is any interest in starting a running group.

I am thinking that we could meet at the Williamson County Park around 6:00 a.m,5 days a week for 30-35 minutes.

We would be doing a 10 week training program that takes you from not running at all to running a 5k (3.2 miles).

I am thinking that we could conclude our running group by running in a 5k all together.

Again, you would NOT need to have any running experience. If you can run for 1 minute or walk briskly for 30 minutes you can do this running group!

I am trying to see how many of you may be interested, so please comment on this post or send me a email at rpostler@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Can't wait to hear from you!

Quilters Night for April!

Quilter's Group
Friday, April 16th
6:30 p.m. - ?
Marlain Tobin's Home
(5108 Sendero Springs Dr.)

In April the Quilters Group will be getting together to make this cool quilted bag! Space is limited so registration is required, please email Marlaine Tobin at marlainetobin@netscape.net.

There is no charge for this class, but you do need to bring your own fabric!

Here are the fabric requirements for this class. (a charm pack from a store or scraps work really well for this project) Cotton fabric will work best!

- Cut (108) 2 1/4"squares ( for the front and the back of the bag)
- Cut ( 10) 4 1/4" squares (for the handles)
- 1/2 yard of fabric for the lining and binding
- Cut (12) 3 1/4" squares ( these are optional: they are for the prairie points)
- I'll provide the batting, I have plenty

It would be best if cut your fabric beforehand. If you cut it beforehand, you will probably finish as we are planning on a late night!

Craft Night!

CRAFT NIGHT IS BACK!!!
March 25th

7:00-?

Michelle High's house
(3020 Luminoso Ln./Sendero Springs).

The same rules still apply to Craft Night! Come and go when you can or want! Bring a Craft...or don't...Bring a Snack to share...or not! Whatever works for you!

HOWEVER...if you signed up for the Prophet and/or Apostle Book, this is the PERFECT night to work on them, as we will not be working on them at The Relief Society Meeting in March!

If you are interested in them you will need to email Randi Ostler (rpostler@yahoo.com), or leave a comment on this post, and let her know which book you would like, and how many.

(Here is an example of the pages from the prophet book!)
The Prophet book is $6.27 and the Apostle book is $5.89. If you order both of them it will be $12.16

These photos will need to be picked up and paid for by you at the Walgreens behind IKEA on University. You will also need a photo album to put them in. The pictures are 4x6. You can put them in (2) 4x6 photo albums or (1) large 4x6 album, or you could get (1-2) 5x7 books and mount the photos on card stock. Really, the options are endless!

Another craft option..if you're looking....is to decorate the egg carton for your "Easter Egg Lesson" that you would have done at the Relief Society Meeting. If would you like your egg carton decorated Michelle will have the Cricut set up, so you can bring some scrapbook paper and what ever else you would like to decorate your egg carton with.

But at the end of the day, we hope you just come to CRAFT NIGHT.....
it's WICKED AWESOME!!

Weekly Grocery Helps!

I really enjoy trying to get good deals.

One of the ways that I try and keep my families budget in line is by price matching at Walmart.

Walmart will match any competitors ad, except for percentages off and buy one get ones. They will also take coupons for price matched items. This makes it a little easier to get some of those great deals!

A few other points: They will match any stores ad within a 10 mile radius. I have also discovered that the Walmart in the LaFronteria shopping center is a little cheaper than the one on old 183 and 1431, and on the way home I stop at Sprouts! :)

I like shopping at Sprouts, but I usually don't price match their ads because I just go buy their product..it's superior to anything I could get at Walmart! Sprouts also does double ad days on Wednesday!

So, with this knowledge I search the weekly ads and determine what I will price match...and based on those prices..I sometimes determine what we will have for dinners the following week.

This allows me to incorporate old favorites and new dinners at a reasonable price.

Someone suggested that I post this and let you guys see what I do. So, I am going to give you the good deals I found in this weeks ads, as well as what I would do for dinners with those ads. I am not going to give recipes but if you would like any of them leave a comment with your email address and I will get them to you. I do not do anything complicated for dinners- I do all easy dinners!

So this week I would price match! ( also check the pricing because sometimes Walmart is still cheaper!)

From HEB!
Frozen Boneless Chicken Breast in a 3lb. bag- $1.29lb. (price match generic for generic)
80% lean ground beef $2.27lb. ( this fat content may seem high, so I drain it and then rinse it!)
Split bone-in Chicken Breast $.99lb.

Of these options I would choose the $.99lb. bone in chicken. I would buy shake n'bake and do baked chicken. Or you could also bake it and make BBQ Chicken from it as well. Buy extra or have any leftovers? Take the chicken off the bone, shred it, mix in some more BBQ sauce and use for BBQ chicken sandwiches, or use for BBQ chicken potatoes!

Price match from Randalls!
Jennio Ground Turkey Breast $1.99lb.
Rice krispie or Froot Loop Cereal 12 oz. box $1.99
Pork Loin Chops $1.49/lb.
Progressio Soups $1.11 ea.
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars $.99 a box. ( great for snacks or 72 hour kits)
Ore-ida Potatoes $1.99
Yoplait Adult Multi packs of yogurt $2.99
Hot Dog and Hamburger Buns $.89 ( Buy this week and freeze them for later)
Wish-Bone Salad Dressing $.99 16 oz.
Pace Picante Sauce 24 oz. $1.99
Nabisco Graham Crackers or Oreos. 2/$5.00

At Sprouts!
Fancy Eggplant .$69 each. (Buy 2 and make Eggplant Parmigiana)
Broccoli Florets $.88.lb. ( Make Broccoli Pasta! Huge hit with my kids, 6 ingredient dinner, easy, and you can add some of that chicken or not!)
Vine Ripe Tomatoes $.88lb. ( Make my favorite Cappalleni Pomodoro! YUMMO!)
Beef Roasts are 50% off! Buy some, and make pot roast on Sunday or my other favorite Spicy Italian Beef! Think Philly Cheese Steak but Spicy and it's easy in the crock pot!)

So there you have it all the deals I found for the week! Hope it helps!

AND if you know of any other deals leave a comment...let's help us all out. Everyone would like to save a buck or two buying those things we have to buy anyway! :)
